Hi,
I had sent a legal notice to the society as it was fixing the terrace leakage issue.
The soc replied to my notice and has fixed it. But the soc has the charged the legal expense incurred in replying to my notice in my maintenance bill stating that is as per by-laws of the soc.
Would like to know is there any such law.

Before legal notice is any representation given to management ? Is any reply served against your representation ?   What it is in byelaws? Show to your advocate and act accordingly

since past 2 years we have been communicating about the leakge issue thru letter , email and whatsapp..but they were not fixing the issue statimg that society has no funds .finally we had informed the soc that we wud be going legal.

In this case can they charges us for reply
