BOWC ACT???

BOCW ACT-1996 is a legislation to protect the safety and welfare of construction workers who are engaged by the Contractors in various infrastructure projects that are under construction state. During these stages, the Contractor has to get registered his firm/company before the Registering Authority designated under the Act. But prior to registration of his firm, he has to check whether the BOCW ACT has been notified by the State Government or not? The point here is that during the construction stage of any infrastructure project, the provisions of Factories Act-1948 are not enforced by the Statutory Authorities, instead, they enforce the BOCW ACT for compliance by Contractors and Principal Employers.
