Bns not effective due to corruption in police!

With much hype GoI brought in BNS to ease the justice delivery but it failed miserably thanks rampant corruption in police.

A senior citizen from Mumbai approached police for registration of FIR against partners of AJ Construction, Mumbai 400093. He succeeded in registration of NC only due to corrupt police officer and hoped matter will be investigated and FIR shall be registered against partners who are white collared goons in the garb of business persons.

When no action was taken he seeked help of NHRC and the complaint was forwarded to CP Mumbai.

He was called by the corrupt officer twice but on both occasions he went out resulting in repeated harrasment to a senior citizen. The constable attached with this officer held out vieled threats of arrest and encounter death.

The matter was informed to NHRC with the WhatsApp chat but no action.

This is how law abiding citizens are facing grave risks at the hands of corrupt police officer! Kindly suggest a remedy. TIA

If the police is not responding to the complaint then the complainant should have exhausted his remedies through criminal court only instead of approaching the national human rights commission.

If it was very urgent then he could have even approached the high court with a writ petition seeking direction to the concerned police to take proper legal action on the complaint.

Even now he can adopt the proper procedures of law in this regard by escalating the matter through criminal courts.
