bike theft is done and my number came as evidence which is used by my friend.

I purchased a new sim for my friend and he was using it the whole time. a bike theft is reported in ranchi. The victim said that she has a number and she asked for urgent help with some cash in exchange for the upi payment. she sent money to my friend and he helped him. That's why she has his no. but that no was registered in my name that's why fir is registered against me. it's been 2 years and the police call me to contact them. what should i do?

You have to sow what you reaped.

why at all you had to purchase sim for someone else (just to facilitate crime)

No i have purchased a sim for him just in friendship as we were working in the same company. It was a mistake and innocence. He was using that SIM from 1 year. After 1 year the incident took place. I also have written from his side that he was using my SIM card.
