Bank deposit opened misusing pan number

Some fraudster is opening bank deposits in different banks with my PAN number for the last few years. The TIS report or form 26as indicates that the bank deposit was opened with my PAN number.  How to get the bank to disclose the address, phone number of the person who is misusing my PAN number and take legal action against the person, so that he or she does not repeat this fraud again?

If your PAN is being misused to open bank deposits, it means someone is committing identity fraud in your name. Unfortunately, banks will not directly disclose the fraudster’s address or contact details to you (because of privacy and data protection obligations). But there is a legal process through which you can obtain this information and take action.
Keep a copy of your TIS Report/Form 26AS showing the bank deposits wrongly linked to your PAN.
Download and preserve all related income tax notices or mismatch alerts you may have received.
This becomes your primary evidence of PAN misuse.
Register an FIR under IPC Sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery), 471 (using forged documents), and relevant sections of the IT Act.
Issue a notice to the concerned banks to disclose the fraudster’s KYC details (address, phone, etc.)
Write to your Jurisdictional Assessing Officer (AO) and the TIN Facilitation Center explaining the misuse.
Upload a grievance on the Income Tax e-filing portal.
This ensures you are not held liable for deposits or tax on income that does not belong to you.

Very well analysed, opined and advised by learned senior expert Mr. T Kalaiselvan, I endorse it.

Besides this, PAN is not the only document required in KYC for opening a Bank account. Moreover, any other person cannot get a new account opended without your knowledge, consent, permission and signature.

Even if you find someone has misused your PAN Card, file a police / court complaint with evidence(s), as advised,

The facts posted, if true, implicates  the Bank authorities. And they are to be proceeded against.
