Last July 2014 new guidelines have been given by Supreme court regarding 498 a police as well as judiciary has to follow the guidelines and cannot arrest without notice but the accused has to apply for anticipatory bail.

Antisipatory bail by A1 is must,or else U will land into trouble. Whether it fake, true or false U have to defend with merits from UR side.

Taking a bail is always better for you, do not  under estimate the police force, they may barge in when you are sleeping, so think and  take wise decision.

It is not obligatory for one to apply for bail.  He has full right to be defended even from Jail.
