Bail amount for different family members

When one apply for bail then every person has to pay the bail amount and this amount also depends on the lawyer.

In cases like 498a where family members and relatives are named in the FIR for example 15 people are named in FIR then do all these 15 has to pay separate bail amount which means if the amount is 50k per person it will be total 7,50000 for all 15 members to get bail which is a very huge amount.

Also for bail and fighting the case do one has to depend on one lawyer or one can choose multiple lawyers to fight the case for example if inlaws, brothers, relatives who live at different places can get their own lawyer.

Garima.

Are U an advocate?

All the accused have to apply separately for bail and it is decided by the court.

Bail security amount is decided by the court, however, it is not a flat rate per person.

Further, hiring different lawers for each family member may create differences. There must be one leading lawyer to guide them as per law, otherwise there would be differences in the legal approach and their presentation before the cpurt. If the statements differ, that might back fire on themselves only.
