There is an order dated 1967 for Rs.4023.Ps37 by the Sales Tax Department which is showing on a property card of my freind.He came to know about this after his father demised.He lives in the rural area and the order is given by the Collector as stated in the discripttion.How to go about this situation?My freind does not know if the payment is made or not.He is ready to pay the amount but wants to get the remark removed from the property card.Please guide.Is there a time limit for recovery of arrears?Which Section or clause?
