Associate membership

Can an Associate member in a CHS

1. be a member in the managing committee

2. Hold office in the managing committee like Secretary or Chairman

3.Sign leave & license agreement for  renting the related flat

Please let me know, since in my society an ealier Chairman was an Associate member.

1.  Associate members is made by virtue of executing bye-law form no. 7 and payment of 100/- as entrance fees.


2.  After executing bye-law form no. 10-A, an Associate member can contest elections, become managing committee member (chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and so on ....)


3.  Leave & License / Rent agreement, can be signed only by the registered owner.  Associate member is never a owner, hence cannot sign any sale / purchase / Leave & License agreements,


4.  Associate member rights can be exercised only for the Society routine affairs and not for any other matters.
