If a Hindu male dies intestate, his wife and all children are all are entitled to an equal share. This is not applicable to retirement benefits Gratuity/Encashment of Leave/ Commutation/ PF/Pension etc., as there is nomination which is considered to be the will of the deceased in settlement of his self earned property. The nominee gets full rights on such nominated assets self-acquired by employees.
