Are Banks Have Right To Ask User id & Password to access Income Tax Portal of a Customer

Are banks have right to ask user id & password to gain access of Income Tax Portal of a Customer who has applying for a loan?

Banks are not legally authorised to ask for your Income Tax portal User ID and password, even when you're applying for a loan. The Income Tax department explicitly states that no one should request this sensitive login information for any purpose. If a bank makes such an illegal demand, you should file a complaint against them on the Income Tax web portal.

1. "NOBODY" is legally authorized to ask for ANY type of login ID & Password to access your Income Tax data for ANY purposes, whatsoever & whichsoever. Even Income Tax web portal declares this.

2. Make a complaint against the Bank on the Income Tax web portal, against such illegal demand.
