ARBITRATION AND CONCILIATION

My query relates to powers of an Arbitrator in proceedings under the Arbitration and Reconciliation Act of 1996 . If one of the parties to the Arbitration does not follow/obey the interim orders/directions of the Arbitrator, is it open to the other party or the Arbitrator to initiate contempt of court proceedings . Does the Act empower the Arbitrator to do so ?
