Apponitment of daily wages workers

We are running a CBSE school and we also has Bus facility and Mess Facility. So kitchen staff and transport staff is required for the same. We want to understand that if  employing them on daily wages give us relaxtion from some govt. complaince Like Gratuity etc. Some one told me that if you dont employ a person for continious 90 days then you are relaxed in some govt. formalities.

                                                              Please give me some clear guideance.

By appointing any employee on daily basis, you can escape from comply any statutory provision. Appointment as daily rated employee give only protection to the empployer that such employees do not have any lein on the job.

Employing people as daily wagers in canteen and bus facility will not serve muich purpose, as they will be doing perennial duty of continuously 240 days or more, so the liability of gratuity payment remains.  Only those persons completing 5 years of service in the school will be entitled to gratuity.
