1) Private Schools upto 8th Class
2) Play/K.G. Schools (Classes - Play/Nursery/K.G.)

I would like to know if ESI is applicable to the following in U.P. state -
1) Private Schools upto 8th Class
2) Play/K.G. Schools (Classes - Play/Nursery/K.G.)

dear mr jain,
Schools are exempted from the shops and establishments act, therefore ESI is not applicable.

From 16.3.2011 the educational instititutions are declared as an establishment under esi act. Hence private school are covered.
