Appeal time against the order of acquttal

Lodged FIR under sec 354 D and  the accused  was acquitted by concerned court. What is the appeal time against the acquittal judgement

Hi Shaik, I’m Adv Niharika and here is my take on your query.

As per sec 378 CrPC, an Appeal in case of acquittal can be made. You should contact the Public Prosecutor or Asst. Public Prosecutor. The period of appeal is 30 days, when a Magistrate Court passed an order and the appeal will lie to the Court of Session. In case the order is from a court of session then the appeal will lie before the High Court and it should be made within 60 days from the date of passing of the order.

Besides an appeal u/s 378 Cr PC the victim can move an appeal u/s 372 Cr PC
