Arun Prakash (Agent)     01 December 2011

Any right?

Hello. I am Arun Prakash from Ambala. 2 days back I went to a retail shop and parked my car outside. The shopkeeper had a dilapidated board atop his shop, which crumbled on my car a few moments later, damaging my car badly. I asked the shopkeeper to compensate me but he instead started abusing me on the pretext that he did not do it deliberately and all.. I want to know from you if I have any right to demand compensation from him under any law. Please accept my thanks in advance.

Check your Car insurance policy in details about the compensation on damages based on (Natural Calimamity). Or consult your insurance agent immediately on the damage.

Arun,

You can claim damages under the law of Torts by filing a suit for damages in a civil court.
