amendment to prevention of corruption act 1988

sir, can anyone please share his/her views on amendment to prevention of corruption act 1988?
As in, in which year did the amendment came into effect?

Example- if the offence period is of year 2016 to 17, then the minimum punishment awarded by the trial Coury in 2020 for it will be of 01 year (as it was before amendment) or will it be 04 years (as per the amendment to this act)?

Quick Summary
This discussion seeks clarification on the impact of amendments to the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988. Specifically, it questions whether the minimum punishment for an offence committed between 2016-17 would be based on the pre-amendment law (1 year) or the amended law (4 years). While some articles were provided, the core doubt regarding the applicable punishment quantum remains unresolved.
