Alimony

Dear All

Please guide on Divorce by contest way , Husband Faced false 107/151 Crpc and one night jail due to wife ,who deserted him Since 2 years back . so husband filed divorce ,wife asked permanent alimony as 16 Lacs , Judge called both for amount settlement ,Husband willing and able to pay only 1.5 lacs ,wife told in front of Judge that until 16 Lacs not provided ,she will not sign paper.

Is it a business for women to get alimony by forcing husband to putting divorce ?

How much alimony court will set if boy has only 8500/month income. ?

Husband wants to get his daughter 05 years old.

Ram,

First the divorce will be decided and then the alimony part. While deciding the alimony, the court will see the current income of the husband, his outgoings, his dependents and then the court will decide the alimony. Sometimes, the court will ask for to give monthly maintenance instead of one time alimony.

The court will not give more alimony to wife, not beyond your means. You have the option to go to High Court for reduction of alimony if the court awards beyond your means.
