help me (officer)     21 September 2014

alimony

I have applied for divorce on cruelty ground..my wife anf self wants mutual divorce now...but she demanding 30 lakhs as alimony...i get 80000 per month salary which is taxable....can she claim so much....how much court can grant her....she is more qualified than me...wat factors will court look into for deciding alimony...pls advice

The court will look for various factors before deciding Alimony in addition to ur salary e.g

Your standard of living

other sources of income

movable/immovable property in your name

any issue from marriage

etc etc
