RTC is primary revenue document it shows who is holding and cultivating the land. 

Mutation is a document which record all changes of ownership transfer.

Better you should have all the revenue documents including tax paid receipts, survey records and other antecendent documents of title under which your father acquired the ownership.

First instance send a legal notice then file a police complaint and approch the civil court and get the restraining order from the court and prove the title with possession.

What about the title deed?, is he having one?

You have to prove your ownership, possession and enjoyment to obtain an order of injunction without which even the suit itself may not be maintainable.

Thak you Sir for your claification. The agricultural land was partitioned my by Grandfather to my father. Its an ancestral property which was partiotioned and handed over to my father by my Grand father. The only document we have now is RTC which has my fathers name.

Your grandfather inturn transferred to your father, and what was the mode of transfer?
