I have a property in Bangalore. My dad is transferring a property to me through gift deed. After transferring, BBMP in Bangalore, Karnataka is asking for Inheritance Affidavit. I have following queries
- Why an affidavit is required when I have other proofs like Birth certificate, PAN card etc to prove I am the legal heir and also a gift-deed is executed?
- How to make an Inheritance Affidavit?
- Who will make it?
- What is the content of the affidavit? Please share if there is any format.
- Whether it should be on judicial or non-judicial stamp paper? What is the value of stamp paper?
- Can I use e-stamp paper for this purpose?
Please outline the procedure and costs involved.
