A daughter can appear as an Advocate in writ petiotn after filing vakalatnama, but it does not appear ethically correct. The law does not bar such appearance.

memo of appearance or vakalatnama is necessary.

It law is quite clear that legal heirs cannot plead on behalf of the petitoner, it is only when the court permits to do so, but as an advocate she can appear only after submitting vakalatnama.

Only when there are chances of calling the advocate as a witness, he or she should avoid taking vakalathnama otherwise can do so.
