Advise on purchase of sc agriculture land

Dear Sir / Madam,

I would like to purchase 20 guntas of agricultural land in Telangana state near Hyderabad. After site visit, mediator has forwarded land documents and I have verified the same with Dharani Portal, and details are looking same with received documents and caste was mentioned as " SC ".

One of friend told me that do not buy SC and ST lands, due to litigations will come in future. I did not understand what litigations will come on such lands.

Shall I go for purchase or withdraw ?

Please check and advise on the above.

Collector orders is required before purchasing the land

According to the supreme court the land belonging to a scheduled caste or schedule tribe or tribes cannot be bought by a non dalits/ non-tribes, including companies, it will be considered unconstitutional. And to buy the land you have to move to district collector of the area in which the land falls and can obtain permission to buy the land. They will issue a grant certificate for the same.
