To adopt a child, the Hindu biological parents (natural mother and father of the child) and adoptive parents shall give consent in writing as per Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956. generally both the parties (natural parents and adoptive parents) perform rituals under Hindu customs according to their sampradayams. after that they make an agreement in writing.
