I am a divorcee and have a minor son. now I wish to marry a divorcee who has a minor daughter. She has the physical custody of the child. Can I adopt the minor daughter after marriage. what is the procedure for it. Both are Hindus. If the adoption can be done where should it be done. where I recide or the place where the minor resides?

Dear Sir,
Even after your marraige you can adopt under section 11(2) Of HAMA,1956 Act.
There is no special procedure, but to be on safer side you can have everything done on papers in order to avoid any future problems.
