Adding legal heir's name to property in dadar, mumbai

Dear Sir, my father passed away in 1996 and owned two buildings in Dadar, Mumbai. The property card still stands in his name. We sis sisters and two brothers are the legal heirs and would like to add our names to the property and delete fathers name from property card.

it is a SELF ACQUIRED PROPERTY BY MY FATHER and NOT ancestral

please guide us regarding the procedure to add our names to the property card

Quick Summary
This discussion concerns adding legal heirs' names to a property card in Dadar, Mumbai, after the owner's demise. The property is self-acquired and the property card still lists the deceased father's name. The recommended procedure involves obtaining a legal heir certificate from the Tahsildar or a Succession Certificate/Letter of Administration from the Bombay High Court, followed by an application for the updated property card. Professional legal advice from a local lawyer is strongly advised.

If there is no dispute between the legal heirs, then obtain a legal heir certificate from the Tahsildar and all of you apply for a property card.
