what happens when the 7x12 shows lesser land area than actual in possession. e.g. actual land in possession is 15 gunthe but on 7x12 it is only 11 gunthe.

Hello,

Maintain the possession till any other adverse order/objection. However, for sale / purchase, the 7x12 extract mentioned land area will be considered.

1. Area mentioned in 7x12 extract is legally final & conclusive. Other areas in Possession shall be considered "encroachment" which will depend on the type of land and who is the owner in the revenue records.
