153a of ipc act

if crime has been committed u/s 153(a) before 1 year . can anyone file f.i.r. for that crime? what is the minimum time limit within which the f.i.r. should be filed?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the possibility of filing an FIR under Section 153A of the IPC more than a year after the alleged crime. While there is no strict legal time limit for filing an FIR, a significant delay can be a strong ground for defence in court. It's advisable to file an FIR as soon as possible, and any delay should have a justifiable explanation.

FIR should be filed as soon as possible, however no time limit is prescribed for its filing. However delyed FIR should have reason to explain .

Dear querist,

No time limit for filing FIR, but it is good ground to defend the case.
