There is nothing from law point of view. The Company's Act,1956 requires that a public company must use the word Limited at the end of its name and a private limited company must use Private Limited at the end of its name.
Rest of the name is chosen by the company. Generally a single group say XYZ Ltd is floating another company and wants to use the brand-value of XYZ Ltd in the new company ,it will name the new company as XYZ(India) Ltd or XYZ Company India Ltd.
