My view is,1)More strict laws,2) Independent police force(No interfere from the Politicians in the Policing), 3)Vigilant public (IN Questioning politicians in case of interference during law enforcement by the police).

It only is the strong will to fight terrorism which is required. Only adding the laws on the statue book will not serve any purpose. It just will become a paper tiger adding more weight to it and nothing else. J.L. Naagar

not only the stricter laws but apart from this we need a hour behind the reasons why and for what purpose terrorism is...unless and until laws alone can`t do any thing.....for exam- britisher hav very strict laws against revolutionaries but still they worked because they hav some motive.so laws are important but we should take care about the motive then only we get better result.

Terroism is violent physical manifestation of a mind infused with fanaticism and bereft of any trace of humanism. It is a crime against humanity and must be battled, uprouted and destroyed.

yes we do need a legal framework to deal with such matters in comprehensive manner. its a matter of our own security, m totally unable to understand why this present govt. just in order to please Muslim community withdrew POTA. such laws r not against the citizens but against the citizens.

Disagree. It is not a fact that India needs a strong political will afresh to counter terrorism because such will is there but not translated into action due to political rivalry among political leaders. There are difference of opinions on implementation of national security measures. The gravity of terrorism often measured by religious angles , not by the criminal procedure code. Political milage becomes first priority, not the interest of the nation.Such attitude will make India a soft target for terrorists till we change our attitude.

Terror in its literal meaning say " to spread menace " which can't be allowed in any circumstances .

stricter laws will not help combat terrorism but will be misused only to victimise rival politicians. The intelligence and implementation of exixting laws must be revamped and improved.

Yes there should be absolutely no tolerence for the Terrorists and the terrorism. No negotiations,no demands met and no conversations. Ref with Mumbai blasts, It was absolutely wrong on the media's part to have spoken to the terrorists and have asked them as to what do they want? It was like putting words in their mouth and encouraging them, as all of us heard the terrorists didn't know what to ask for when media asked them for their demands. Politicians of our courntry need to be wished Good morning every minute and their is a greater need to send them all GET WELL SOON WISHES. Does any one agree with me? Bobby Aanand

Whatever the law comes in prectice, it should be implemented properly without political influence or corrupt system. sometimes it seems that the force and cops should be free to act at times when such incidents like Mumbai blasts or Gandhinagar Axardham etc occurs. But till the currupt politics and system is there no low can be useful.

There is absolutely no dearth of effective laws in our country. But, what is needed is judicial and police reforms to effectively implement the laws. MOREOVER, THERE MUST BE STRONG WILL ON THE PART OF OUR RULERS/POLITICIANS/CITIZENS TO CURB TERRORISM AT ANY COST. POLICE AND INVESTIGATING AGENCIES IN THE COUNTRY MUST BE UNDER AN INDEPENDENT AUTHORITY WITHOUT HAVING ANY POLITICAL LEANINGS. JUDICIARY MUST BE MADE MORE ACCOUNTABLE AND PEOPLE MUST BE VIGILENT TO ACT AS WATCHDOGS OF WORKING OF SUCH BODIES.

The root of terrorism in India are our corrupt politicians. It is they who nourish it.This is why they are least targetted by the terrorists.

laws are to be made seperately for terrorists, militants, al-quida,simi, ulfa, naxalites. each catogory should have its own specific law.

No. The existing ones should be effectively implemented. Injustice gives birth to a terrorist who feels that this is the only way out.I pity the victims of terrorism, family of terrorist and even the terrorist himself. Imagine the circumstances he must have gone through which made him to join the organisation where sure violent death is the only result.

Law alone is not suffient Sir. The constant vigilant attitude is important. Who moves around yopu any unidntified person, any out sider etc. In metros, urban and rural areas the residents must be provided with ID cards. Without ID cards they should not be provided with residence, food and other facilities except what is necessary for upkeeping the sense of human rights. When people are disturbed with terrorist acts pl. don't get them panic by media and do not pay the dirty politics. Be Indians minimum at that time. Forget the isms, factions and politics

I would hundred percent suggest there shall be a strict laws and also the very entry of the terrorist shall be constantly watched and also the illegal immigrants who are witout any visas and lapsed visas shall be identified thrown out of the country. All the political parties should avoid appeasementof any sect and shall not compromise on the national security, the incident of mumbai is a challenge to the national internal and external security. It has to be viewed very seriously as it will have an a great impact on our fiscal and economic development
