In Justice Chaglas ' Roses in December" Justice Chagla says that there is no greater impetus to becoming a good advocate than early days of poverty. Need goads a man to excel and to do more than his ordinary work. " He can learn faster and not rest back on earned laurels of success in his LLB exam and social status as an advocate. I have given the gist of what he wanted to say and it is not produced verbatim. He also tells the incident when Jinnah who was his senior did not allot one brief to him .

I think a lawyer is not meant to be a slave but a ruler. As in the case of any employee, he has to bow to his employer. So if a lawyer starts feeling that he should not be a ruler but is satisfied to be ruled then he deserves to be paid even during his articleship/juniorship.

Its hard to survive for New Commers and if its left unseen then it will be hard for the justice to prevail because no one will participate in the Litigation and the cause of this noble profession will die hard.

Junior deserves and requires money for their pocket and other expenses. Therefore, stipend must be compulsory for the juniors.
