Time limit for criminal appeal

A criminal appeal is dismissed by high court without sending summon to accused. I want to know what are further possibilities of appeal and what is time limit for the same? Plz note that petitioner is a govt. employee.

What is generic time limit for criminal case appeal ...i am unaware of it...my friend won a case in sessions as well as in high court ....he is trying to start a new life after false allegations on him but he just can't get out of horrible past...he is fearing abt court trial ...plz guide
