My father passed away, without a will, over a year ago and we are being told that we would need a succession certificate for future property transactions.
I am doing research online, but I am still not clear about what this is and what the process is..I am located in Mumbai and need some advice here
1) Is the succession certificate really required
2) What are the court costs associated with this
3) What are the legal fees I should expect to pay for this
4) Any recommendations for a good ethical lawyer in Mumbai (we live in the subarbs)
As my father passed away unexpectedly - we are not able to spend a lot of money.... so, I need some honest advice here please..
