Sale right of karta of huf

I like to present the following case and seek  advice:

I have purchased a flat in the year 2010 from the Karta (aged about 51 years) of a Hindu Undivided Family (As mentioned in the Sale Deed). This flat is situated in a complex and the land has come to the Karta by way of partition and family settlement. The family tree of the Karta (Notarised) as available in the records provided to me at the time of purchase consists of his wife (aged about 42 years), two daughters (aged about 22 years and 20 years) and a son (aged about 17 years).

However, the sale deed executed in my favour do not contain signature of his wife, both the daughters and the son.

My query is : Can this Karta of HUF  sell his flat to me without written consent of other family members? if no, what can be the remedial measures I can take.
