I bought a villa in Bangalore and the builder is starting registration. Builder is asking us to register land (30x40) and Built-up area (1500 sft) both. There are other villa projects around this area where people are only registering land. He is saying that the registration is happening on e-khata and as per rule both land and house must be registered. While at the time of booking the villa he had told us that registration will happen only on land. Now he has given 2 different guidance value for land and Built-up area. It is 1500 Rs/SFT for land and 1350 Rs/SFT for built-up area.
We are not sure if he is cheating us by asking to register both land and house.
My question is - Is the owner supposed to register both land and house?
