Probationer

I was going through Para 2 (c) of Industrial Employment Standing orders 1946, where in it is clarified  a 'Probationer' is a workman who is provisionally employed to fill a permanent vacancy in a post and has not completed three months service therein. My question is, that in my company we issue

1. Appointment letter for temporary workman for a period of 06 months. Thereafter we include them in our payroll. (this is for factory workers working as helpers, machine operators, house keeping departments etc.

2. Appointment letter to employees working in office i.e receptionist, it managers and assistants etc. The probation period of employees is for six months. thereafter, we offer them letter of confirmation.

Comments of Seniors is solicited, please.

What exactly is your query?

The probation period is decided between employer/employee.
