Ownership of property received from will

Hello,

My brother and I received a plot of land in Kerala from our late grandfather based on his registered will (which is at present misplaced/lost). Though this will went into effect 30 almost 25 years ago upon the death of my grandfather, we only recently (last year) did the mutation in the land revenue records. Until then the property was still in our late grandfather's name and taxes were being paid in his name. For a year now, per the land revenue records, the property is in my brother's and my name, and the taxes have been paid in our names. So what we current have in our possession are 1. Certified copy of grandfather's will, 2. Receipts of property taxes paid in our names since last year

Do we need to have a document writer prepare and register some sort of title/deed that states that my brother and I are the joint owners of the property?

Thanks,

Joe Thomas
