My friend stays in Davangere as a tenant in a rented premises. There is no written rent agreement.His owner has now changed his mind and has employed in self help eviction mechanism by getting the KEB Metre /Electricity connection in his name permanently disconnected -has submitted an application in order to harass and get him evicted from the rented property . The electricity connection is struck off to the house by KEB . Light bill is totally paid upto date .He is paying the rent on regular monthly basis from the begining.
Further , off late , he has dismantled the water storing drums on the terrace and has taken it away.
My friend is in possesion of the rented premises.
What immediate legal remedy are available in order to address this situation if Court is to be approached
