Is independent male prostitution illegal ?

Prostitution in any form Male/female is illegal in India as on date, but still some advertisemnts do appear through Escort Services/Web sites. Its only the Police (the enforcing agency) who are not attracted to that and do not book them under PITA. The escort sites have there base outside India as such legal action may not be possible, but for certain the advertisers i.e. Male/Female prostitutes/Call girls/Gigaloos can be tracked by the enforcing agency (THE POLICE) and taken care of, but sorry to say they

but sorry to say they  are least concerned about what is going around them. Of recent, the Addl. Comm. of Police, Mumbai raided some Hookah Bars/Pubs and booked many a girls and boys, and the Police did keep them in lock up, till they got themselves bailed from the Court (bail is normally allowed at the Police Station itself in such cases). The purpose behind the action of the ACP was to stop the girls gettng into becoming future call girls, but the media was up against the police action.

Male or female this aged old profession should be legalized with proper conditions.

Prostitution is illegal in India whether it is being professed by a male or a female. But in order to camouflage it some criminals/fraudsters give it a different name like call boy, gigolo service etc. Irrespective of nomenclature of a service, since it’s sheer prostitution, it’s illegal.
