HOW MAINTENANCE CALCULATED

There's no yardstick to measure the quantum of maintenance.

The court will consider all the aspects in merits before passing an order 

There are no fast and hard rules. The Court would grant maintenance taking into consideration  income and its source , standard of living of both parties, child support and spouse's  abilities, skills and education. However, the amount of maintenance granted should not be such as to render the marriage a punishment for the husband.
