Ex-gratia & job on compassionate grounds rejected by bank

Hi

My Father-in-law was an employee of SBI & he died in the year 2003. My Mother-in-law submitted a requisition letter for Ex-gratia / employment on compassionate grounds but received a rejection letter mentioning that employee is not having an unblemished record, hence he is not eligible for either of the benefits.

If an employee doesn't have flawless record, does it mean that the family members also fall in the same criteria & will they literally be left with no support except the pension amount after his death?

Can anyone suggest on the above matter, as how to proceed.

Thanks

Vidhya

ex-gratia and compassionate employment are not enforceable rights.

further family does suffer when  one is dismissed from service and family does enjoy when one is getting promoted out of turn.

Meet some seasoned employee’s union leader that is compassionate with your family; download the HR policy describing Ex. Gratia, Compassionate appointment and relate with reply.

Once the in depth analysis has been made you may have some way out and may know how to proceed with.
