Election duty

What is the context for this query?

As an Assistant Professor I have achieved Class one  rank. And one of my colleague appointed direct professor who is Class 1 rank from date of appointment. Even then he was assigned Sector Officer Duty in election. Most of Sector officers appoint , are class 3 post. Is there any law or any Judgement for not to deploy above rank officer under below rank officer. Or any Judgment not to deploy professor on election duty.

Election process has its own hierarchy as laid down under the RP Act. Employees taken own deputation polling purposes are required to work in accordance with lawful directions from the said hierarchy. Rank or class of those taken on deputation are of no consequence.

SDM is lower paid than you. Ok.
