Recently I got cheated by a job consultancy who offered me job and procured by ID proofs and some money.
If I send a notice to them, I am afraid if they disappear suddenly because with frauds, there website may be not properly based, mobile phone number data could be fake, they immediately switch off and escape. Moreover, theyare located far away, we contacted through phone and e-mail, do not know their address.
But reporting it to a cyber cell, i do not really know what kind of procedures i may have to undergo. More than money refund, I want to make myself safe; they should not misuse my identity proofs because they have my signature and finger impressions as well.
So what is the wise way i can protect myself? Meeting a police or lawyer? What is difference?
