I have joined in a Private software company on 8th March .Just after my joining i got to know that i'm pregnent .Now its my 5th month. So when i apply for the maternity leave they are saying as your probation period is not over yet so your maternity leave will be unpaid. Is it right or wrong.Help me with this.
Dear querist, to me, as per maternity Act, at least 80 days in the past 12 months you need to work . If you will work 80 days within 9 months of pregnancy then you are eligible for paid maternity leaves n benefits.
