How to prove delivery of notice to tenant ?

I had sent a notice of lease termination through regd post. Thereafter a civil suit for personal necessity was filed. How should I prove the proper delivery of initial notice which forms the basis of the whole case.

A notice should be sent per 'Registered with acknowledgement due' post to the correct address. The 'acknowledgement due' receipt returned with the signature of the addressee is a valid proof. You can also contact the postal department for the proof of delivery of the notice.

There are three ways.

1. Downloading the delivery status from India post website by providing Registration no.

2. Seeking information from Postal dept asking for information on delivery and providing that information letter.

3. Filing RTI Application to CPIO, posts and getting the certified copy of the delivery schedule (Postal dept., obtains a signature from the addressee) and confirmation of delivery in writing.
