Survey number issue

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 07 January 2021 This query is : Resolved
I purchased 100 yards on 2014 survey number is 220 and all the link documents related it are correct right form the first transcation from 2000, but suddenly this month someone claims that the survey number of the purchased land is 218 which is supposed to be his land and asking us to settle the issue with paying him again to claim ourself as the rightful owner. The purchased land is having the boundary wall build from the first transaction too. What are the chance if it is forwarded to court and/or who should be the rightful owner.

Visit the Concerned Departments --Tehsildar Office , Revenue Dept Etc and Seek the Facts as per their Records and then We could Decide the Next Step.

First Confirm Every Thing with the Concerned Departments instead of relying on the Statements of the other side.

Where the property is situated? You have to give a petition to the Tahsildar concerned whether your land is situated in S.No.220 or S.No.218 of the village/town. Now as there are houses you can ask the municipal or panchayat authorities by mentioning the Door number and survey number.

For correction of right survey no. document need to be re registered. But, before that, as advised by experts, take the help of VAO or concerned revenue officials to inspect and confirm the survey no. If you have transferred the putta in your name, then no concern. Lawyer of your area can help legally too.
