Dear Mr. Aniban,

From the value of the property indicated by you, I guess it is an immovable property like land, building etc.

If that be so,then what you require is not a Succession Certificate, but a legal Heir Certificate. For obtaining Legal Heir Certificate there will be no incidence of court fee.

However, if the property in question is a movable property like Fixed Deposit, Bank Balance etc., then you need a Succession Certificate. As rightly pointed out herein above, the Court Fee for succession certificate differs from State to State and therefore you have to ascertain the information from a lawyer in West Bengal.

Mr. Anirban
The maximum court fee is Rs. 75,000/- for any civil matters...like suits, applications etc....

Since the court fee differs to one state to another, it is better you contact a local advocate and clarify the same if you do not believe your own advocate.
