Police to visit police station

(Querist) 27 March 2024 This query is : Resolved
If I raise a complaint to commissioner of police and complaint transferred to local thana. police ask me to visit the police station for statement or details for the compliment. For any reason I am not comfortable to visit police station. Is there any other solution?
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 27 March 2024
If you are complainant then who else will be called to thana for recording statement and giving evidence.
Chris Hunt (Querist) 27 March 2024
If their is way, please let us know. Hard to explain our story..
Chris Hunt (Querist) 27 March 2024
In short we group of people are effected. Police don't take our case seriously. They use their method to avoid the case by any means.
So please let us know the way.
I heard any written pritition can work.

When they call you you attend there and tell your evident points and there are some others also affected in the matter.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 28 March 2024
what exactly do you want to know?
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate Online (Expert) 28 March 2024
Since you are the complainant, it becomes your duty to give statement to police based on your complaint by visiting police station during enquiry.
If you don't go then your complaint will be closed by police
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 28 March 2024
You say police is not taking care.

why should they take care if a complainant is not even coming forward for a statement?

if you have made complaint to CP and want action on this then why it should not be refered to thana?
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate Online (Expert) 29 March 2024
If the police is not taking any action on your complaint then you can approach the judicial magistrate court with a petition under section 156(3) cr.p.c. seeking direction to the concerned police to initiate legal action as per law on the complaint pending before them.
