Why the accused captured by Police is bringing with covered face?

If he or the police does not want to disclose his identity before the public at large.

I do agree with Barman. If police brings the accused without covering the face and same accused again crime public should not say same accused!

in cases where the accusd is not known and the informant says that he can identify the accused if he sees him again then in that case TEST IDENTIFICATION PARADE is held where the accused is made to stand alongwith some other persons of the same height, features etc. and the informant is asked to point out the accused. If he is correctly identified by the informant then it will go against the accused.
if the police does not cover face then the accused can always claim that the informant has identified on the basis of photographs appearing in newspaper/ t.v.

The basic principle of criminal law is that the accused should be convicted only if the offense is proved beyond doubt, so it is done.
