Mental torture in notice period

Hi,

As there was some family emergency and I wanted early release, So I conveyed the same in email and asked my management to relieve me early on the basis of humanitarian ground. After several discussions I observed that instead of understanding my situation they are ignoring me and pressurizing me to serve complete notice period in the sake of Policy. Eventually I stopped asking to leave me early and also felt several times that I was mentally tortured and exploited in the name of these policies. Is there any way to challenge them or I should just do away all these things by agreeing on the company policies.

Apparently these policies are assuring that I am exploited completely or as much as they want.

Please let me know in case I can help my self by challenging them with something.

Discussion of specific instances of mental torture is necessary for appropriate guidance. otherwise, you may have to act according to the terms of your employment, as may be specified in the offer/ appointment letter.
